Provisional identity sheet for digital nomads
Uruguay XXI describes a six-month permit for qualifying remote workers, renewable for another six months. Its explanation concerns work for foreign companies or self-employed activity after regular tourist entry.
The route described here is background information, not confirmation that an individual applicant qualifies. Check the official requirements for your circumstances.

- The checklist states that the procedure cannot be paid for from abroad. Entry-visa requirements depend on nationality.

Remote-work routes are not automatically available to someone whose income comes only from personal investing or prop-firm rewards. The reviewed requirements concern qualifying work, contracts or businesses. Individual eligibility must be established separately.
Only the information in this starter guide was checked on . This does not refresh older guides or confirm any applicant’s eligibility.
A renewal health document is not health insurance.
The renewal checklist names a vaccination record. Its digital-nomad subsections do not publish a numerical private-insurance coverage minimum.
